What to do when your garage door goes off track?

When a door goes sideways, like in the photos below, it usually is because of a broken cable or a cable that is off the torsion system. It is best to not try and fix this yourself. Some folks make it worse and cause more destruction requiring more time and materials to repair and it ends up costing them more in the long run.
